Mamie joins a cast of queer faves for FOWL PLAY

 

The new musical FOWL PLAY will make its New York City debut with a strictly limited engagement of ten performances only as part of a developmental AEA Showcase at AMT Theater (354 W 45th Street) August 8 through August 17, 2024. With music and lyrics by Billboard-charting composer Billy Recce and a book by Recce and Yoni Weiss, FOWL PLAY will be directed by Tye Blue, the co-author and director of the 2023 Lucille Lortel Award-winning Off-Broadway musical smash hit, Titanique.

Sister Act at the Muny

Mamie returns to the MUNY this August in Sister Act.

Based on the smash hit film, Sister Act is a heavenly musical comedy that proves nothing can stand in the way of sisterhood! Disco diva Deloris dreams of fame and fortune, but is she prepared for the way she receives it? Songs inspired by Motown, soul and disco, including “Take Me to Heaven,” “Fabulous, Baby!,” and “Raise Your Voice,” this score is sure to raise your spirits. The grand finale to the Muny season promises to be divine!

Mamie joins the cast of Broadway-bound Fat Kid Rules the World

Industry readings of the new rock musical Fat Kid Rules The World, based on the novel by K. L. Going, will be presented October 27–28 at New 42nd Street Studios in Manhattan. 

Directed by Marc Erdahi and choreographed by Ellenore Scott, and eaturing a book by Jay Falzone and Nick Naveda, music by Matt Gumley and Evan Jay Newman, and lyrics by Falzone, the new musical follows Troy Billings (Ragsdale), who is isolated at school, unsupported by his father and brother, mourning the loss of his mother, and ready to jump, but he steps back from the edge after a chance encounter with a local legend, Curt MacCrae (Brewer), the lead guitarist of Troy’s favorite band, who draws Troy into his circle and helps him find a new beat.
